L and Mello

Mello encounters L for the first time in a dream that isn't a dream at all. L hasn't aged a bit, and there's talk of witchcraft and Mello's potential as one in the future given the ability he's experienced.

Mello successfully locates L at his workplace after truly waking up and realizing that returning home immediately isn't an option. He exploits L's finances and guilt for a lavish dinner. They speak of Bonds.

L invites Mello into his home, which he shares with the SQUIP. Mello quickly learns that not only are L and the SQUIP Bonded, but there's something more to it. Denial is go.

L is in a coma; Mello is losing his shit. There is tea and despair.

L is still in a coma. Mello is still losing his shit. There's a blind deer praying over his body. Mello hates God.

It's L's birthday. There is alcohol. A Bond is proposed by Mello and much to his surprise, accepted. L doesn't care for cognac: noted.

Fuck it: they're Bonding.

L is freaking out at a party. Mello can feel his panic through their bond. Details forthcoming.
